Sensus Water Meter Installations
In September 2006 Bon Accord began replacing the manual read water meters with ‘Sensus’ remote read water meters in all residences in Town. Today, there are still a number of residences that have not had the remote read water meters installed.
If you have NOT had the manual read meter replaced by the ‘Sensus’ remote read meter, please contact the Public Works Department at 780-565-0557 between 9am – 4pm, Monday through Thursday, or the Town Office at 780-921-3550 on Fridays to book an appointment to have the meter replaced. We are booking appointments for weekends as well as weekdays. All meters are the property of the Town of Bon Accord and it is imperative that these meters be installed, as soon as possible. There is no cost to the homeowner to do this work, however in order to complete the work, Town staff, a designate, and/or agent will require access to residence. As per the Water Bylaw #2015-01, Town Staff are to be given free and clear access to a meter.
To ensure that the installation can be done as smoothly as possible, please check to ensure:
that the shut-off valve is working properly;
2. that the meter is level (pipes line up); and
3. the area around the meter is free and clear of any obstructions.
Thank you to those who have already called to book and appointment, and to everyone for your immediate attention to this request.
2015 Budget Approved

The budget incorporates a municipal budget increase of 3.89% over the 2014 budget. This equates to an increase of $52,448, which mean an average Tax Levy increase of $88 per property per year.
OBSERVATORY PARK BUSINESS CASE
RC Strategies presented The Town of Bon Accord Observatory Park Business Case to Council at the Regular Meeting of Council on December 2. Council directed Town Administration and the consulting team to embark on refining the business plan document and developing fundraising packages. As new funding sources are confirmed, the project development will continue to progress, followed by securing a site. Once all capital funding for the project is secured, detailed design of the facility will commence followed by construction and eventual ongoing operations. To view the presentation click here.
