There are several tourist attractions in the Bon Accord vicinity

Alberta Pioneer Railway Museum - 24215 - 34 Street NW, Edmonton  (located 2km south of Highway 37 on 34th Street).  Take a look back in time! Open weekends and holidays May to September.

Goose Hummock Golf Course - On Highway 28 at TWP Road 564.  A championship 18-hole public golf course located just north of Edmonton, offers golfers a 6,700 yard experience with natural forests and interlocking ponds.

Jurassic Forest – GPS Coordinates:  N53.863; W113.331 (located 3km north of Gibbons on Highway 28).  Offers a 40-acre Jurassic experience complete with life-sized, realistic dinosaurs that tourists can watch in action. Walking trails, interactive exhibits and expert staff make this attraction in Gibbons very popular with locals and tourists alike.

McLeod Creek Farm - Located approximately 4km north of Gibbons on Highway 28.

Fun for the whole family! Join in a hayride, go horseback riding, or take a tour of the farm and meet the animals. The kids will love the huge sandpit. Give them a call at 780-921-2490.

Oak Hill Junction - Located on the Southeast corner of Range Road 240 (Sunnyside Road) and Highway 28.  Beautiful rest area with picnic tables.

Bon Accord Spring Creek Golf Course - located two miles south of Bon Accord on Range Road 240. This is an eighteen hole executive par three family golf course. Dick and Don Bland are back managing this delightful course. Three leagues are available for your pleasure. Seniors - Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m.; Mens - Monday afternoons at 6:30 p.m. and Ladies - Wednesday afternoons at 6:30 p.m.

Sturgeon River Historical Society - located on 47 Street & 48 Avenue in Gibbons.  The museum hosts turn of the century buildings, equipment, tools and artifacts.  Bring the whole family and make an afternoon of it.

Bon Accord is a community that offers a myriad of recreation activities. Facilities such as an arena, a sports field and a number of recreational parks provide opportunities for community and area residents. The Town promotes a healthy lifestyle with access to a number of additional recreational amenities in Sturgeon County. Sporting activities such as softball, hockey, soccer, Nordic skiing and volleyball are prominent in Bon Accord, providing a variety of all season sports.

The town is within driving distance to Cardiff Park, which offers walking trails, picnic areas and sports fields. Cardiff Lake, in Sturgeon County also offers great opportunities for fishing activities.

Centennial Park - 49th Avenue & 50th Street (located behind Food Town). Hop aboard the train and enjoy the ride.  During the summer months this park is also equipped with picnic tables.


Roseglen Park - On 52 Avenue between 47th & 48th Streets
New Children's playground equipment and the addition of adult fitness equipment, which was installed in June 2015, along with an open filed area makes this park a fun place for the whole family.  During the summer months this park is equipped with picnic tables.

Springbrook Park - On 52 Avenue between 53rd & 54th Streets
Playground equipment, open field areas and a Heritage Rose Garden. During the summer months this park is equipped with picnic tables.
