Mayor Randolph BoydOriginally from Nova Scotia, Randy and his family settled in Bon Accord in 2006. A Master Electrician who served 23 year with the Canadian Armed Forces, 2 years with Defence Construction Canada as a Project Coordinator and 5 years as a Public Service Employee at CFB Edmonton as the Garrison Utilities Officer.In July of 2012, Randy assumed the role as the Supervisor Electrical Trades within Facilities and Operations at the University of Alberta his current employer.Randy has been active member of many volunteer organizations such as Scouts Canada and School Parent Councils. Since moving to Bon Accord he has volunteered as a member of the Economic Development Committee and Friends of the Bon Accord Public Library before being elected to Council in 2007.Randy has served one term as a Councillor and is currently serving his second term as Mayor for the Town of Bon Accord.Randy currently sits on the following Boards, Commissions and Committees:- Capital Region Assessment Services Commission- Capital Region Board- Capital Region Board, Governance, Finance and Priorities Committee- Alberta Capital Region Wastewater Services Commission- Alberta Capital Region Wastewater Services Commission Performance Committee- Roseridge Waste Management Services Board- Joint Partnership Initiative Group- Emergency ManagementPhone: 780-921-3550 or 780-289-1503email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Councillor Alex MacKenzieAlex and his family moved into Bon Accord from Calgary in 1997. He served for 23 years in the Canadian Forces in the Infantry and the Intelligence Branch. He has been posted all over Canada and did a number of Overseas Tours. He retired from the Military in 2003, and is currently employed in the Federal Public Service. His wife Nicola is an Account Manager for western Canada for a large retail chain. Their daughter grew up in Bon Accord, attending Bon Accord Community School and Lilian Schick School.Alex has participated in seven municipal elections or by-elections (1999, 2001, 2004, 2007 [twice], 2010 & 2013); being successful in six of them. Councillor David HuttonDave moved to Bon Accord in 1978 with wife Kathy, who operates a home-based business in Bon Accord.Dave served on the St. Johns Ambulance Committee, the Bon Accord & District Community League, Cub Scout Leader & Service Team member, Bon Accord Communities in Bloom Committee.Dave comes from a farming background with strong roots in Alberta. He attended NAIT in 1963-66, worked for Alberta Agriculture & Transportation for 26 years as a Municipal/Civil Draftsman, taught CAD at NAIT then operated a home-based business for 4 years.Dave was acclaimed to Council September 2013.Councillor Hutton currently sits on the following Boards, Commissions and Committees:- Capital Region Northeast Water Services Commission- Sturgeon Foundation- Sub-Division & Development CommitteePhone: 780-921-3550email: firstname.lastname@example.org

Councillor Lorna PocockLorna was sworn in as Councillor for the Town of Bon Accord on December 4, 2012.Lorna was born in Southern Ontario in a small town outside Toronto, and raised in Cobourg, Ontario and has a strong sense of community. She moved to the Bon Accord area in 1996, and moved into town in 2000. Regular Meetings of Council are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month, except during the summer months (July and August), and commence at 7:00 pm. The summer schedule is determined at the Organizational Meeting held in October of each year. All Council meetings are open to the public, except for the "in-camera" sessions.

Council agendas are prepared the Friday prior to the council meeting. Anyone wishing to speak to Council on a meeting night has until close of business on that day to make an appointment, citing the topic on which they wish to speak. If that isn't sufficiently open, anyone attending a Council meeting may have an opportunity to speak by signing in at the beginning of the meeting. presentations can be related to an agenda item, or an issue of concern to the presenter. Presentations are limited to five minutes however, as the agenda will allow for only fifteen minutes for appointments.
